Imphal, June 11 2023:
All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) continued to hold meetings on the theme 'No separate admin-istration in Manipur' at different areas.
In a release, AMUCO informed that the meetings were held at Sagolmang community hall, Sinam Kom, Naorem Birahari College, Chingkhu community hall, Pangei Keithel, Yumnam Khunou community hall and Sangaiprou Kabui Khun by local clubs and meira paibi groups under the aegis of AMUCO.
Several executives and advi-sors of AMUCO, COHR, NRC, Irabot Foundation, AMAW0- VA, AMESCO and YOFFS took part in the meetings and spoke on several agendas such as to stop playing communal card, withdraw So0 immediately, stop militarisation and flush out Kuki terrorists among others.
The release stated that the present conflict is not a com-munal issue but an attempt to undermine the integrity of Manipur by Kuki-Chin mili-tants from outside India sup-pressing the voices of small hill communities using arms.
So, the government should never consider the violence on the basis of ethnicity.
Flushing out of Kuki terrorists from Myanmar is the only way to restore and retain the age old harmonious relationship between the communities, it opined, while adding that central government should be responsible for such act.
