Imphal, June 11 2023:
Reacting sharply to the allegations levelled by Zo Reuni-fication Organisation's (ZORO) with regard to a recent public convention resolving o launch 'war' against narco- terrorism, Co-ordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) explained the Committee-initiated convention's decision is fight the well-armed narco- terrorists coming from out-side but not against any indigenous community of Manipur.
Clarifying on ZORO's accusa-tions, the COCOMI said an organ-isation like ZORO which does not understand the history of Mani-pur will never acknowledge the meaning behind declaration of the national war.
ZORO must un-derstand that the war declared by the committee was not against any particular community of Mani-pur but against well-armed Nar - co- terrorists coming from outside who threatened some Kuki people at gun point and tried to convert Manipur into a new Golden Man-gle as per their wishes.
With the nefarious acts of Narco -Terrorists posing a serious threat to territo-rial integrity of Manipur, entire people of Manipur society decided to initiate different forms of ac-tions and accordingly declared the war to defeat Narco -Terrorist s, the COCOMI maintained.
According to the COCOMI, both state and central governments must take decisive and harsh action against Narco- terrorists supporter ZORO as well as the community and organisations which not only threaten the state but also challenge the national security.
The committee further reminded to ZORO that the war declared against Narco- Terrorists is to save entire indigenous com-munities who have been living harmoniously in Manipur since time immemorial.
