Free medical camp held

Kakching, June 11 2023:
A free medical camp was organised today at Kakching Khunou Makha High School relief camp under the supervision of Sugnu Assembly Constituency MLA Kangujam Ranjit in association with Meckley Royal Riders.
A thirty-strong team consisting of doctors and nurses from renowned medical institutes such as JNIMS, RIMS Hospital and Advanced Hospital rendered their services to the relief camp inmates who have fled their villages in Sugnu when Kuki militants began torching their homes located adjacent to Kuki settlements.
Notably, sick inmates from near by relief camps were also transported to Kakching Khunou Makha High School relief camp where they availed the facilities of the health camp and received treatment from the well-trained doctors and nurses.
Altogether roughly 300 inmates were treated today and free medicines were distributed to the ailing patients.
Specialists in the field of medicine, gynaecology, orthopedics, pediatrics etc rendered their services at the health camp.
Speaking in this connection, Nelson Sagolsem, president, Meckley Royal Riders stated that the free health camp was specially organised for the displaced families whose homes have been razed to the ground or those who have fled owing to fear of being attacked or their homes torched by Kuki militants.
Adding that the medical camp was organised in collaboration the Sugnu MLA, he went to share that this was the fifth such camp organised by Meckley Royal Riders since violence erupted in the State on May 3 .
He assured to organise such camps across various relief camps in the State in the future.
