Imphal, June 11 2023:
Manipur Indigenous Conservation Forum (MICF) today conducted an economic survey collecting detailed information pertaining to the type of damage or loss occurred/ suffered by the victims taking refuge at the relief camp opened by Peace & Relief Committee, Singjamei AC under the guidance of RD & PR, MAHUD Minister Y Khemchand.
In a release, MICF shared its observation that the relief materials in the form of food grains, medicines, etc provided by various NGOs, clubs, Government machineries, etc is not a long-term solution for the people taking refuge at the relief camps.
The forum also observed that assistance and help in the form of legal & financial can be availed from the department/ authorities concerned of the State and Central Government in order to provide some form of relief to the victims of the present war-like situation in Manipur, besides the medicinal & food- help.
