Election Eclipses: A Ballad of Battle and Loss
Herojit Philem *
Ballot ballet blocks bullets
Gunshot gallops.
Widow weeps,
Mother mourns
But Battle's brawl blows
Sweet-scented screams.
A wounded warrior waits
Recovery, Relief, and Revolution
Election eclipses effigies.
Victim's vein
Flows frozen fluid
Shabby silences sculptors.
Only the owner orchestrates.
Failures flooded the field.
Rice rate rises.
Poverty pays prices.
Election envelopes the environment
Captain's cap captures comrades
Eviction ends.
