Many condemn attack on NPF youth leaders

Naga People's Front (NPF) Youth Wing Mao AC has strongly condemned the barbaric assault on NPF Youth Wing Mao AC president Losii Arou on Friday night at Tobumai village.
In a statement, the Youth Wing stated that the threat to Losii Arou's life and intimidation in front of his wife and young children are acts of cowardice by the armed miscreants masquerading as national workers.
The Youth Wing also strongly condemned the assault of Johnny of Tobumai village on the same night and demanded swift and befitting actions by the authority concerned against the miscreants.
It appealed to the public to raise their voices and condemn the dastardly anti-social acts committed by the rogue elements and to extend their cooperation towards ensuring smooth and peaceful conduct of upcoming state election.
Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) has also condemned the said incident.
While demanding intervention of authorities concerned to book the culprits, it also called upon those perpetrators to come out in open and apologise.
Similarly, Mao Council has condemned the assault of Losii Arou and Y Choni.
The Council has called an emergency GBM meeting to discuss the provoking incident and resolved to demand swift action against those assailants.
It further warned that no group or individual should indulge in such incident.
In a separate statement, Mao Students' Union has categorically condemned the incident in strongest term for assault and life threat on its former general secretary Losii Arou.
It added that, such act is an insult to the entire community and cannot be silenced or tolerated in any circumstances.
The Union also demanded unconditional apology from those involved.
It also seriously views the misusing of our Naga National Movement identity for causing fear and intimidation to the general public, the release mentioned.
