Imphal, February 19 2022:
While highlighting the seriousness of the upcoming 12th Mahipur Legislative Assembly Election, National People's Party (NPP) national president Conrad K Sangma has remarked that the people no longer want BJP nor Congress, but another political party to form the next government in the state.
The flag hoisting ceremony of Wangkhei AC NPP candidate Yumkham Erabot was organised at his residence in Khurai Ahongei on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, Conrad noted that the election is quite serious this time.
People no longer want a government led by BJP nor Congress but by another party.
As such, there is no other better choice than NPP, he said and urged the people to vote NPP to power.
He continued: "NPP is the only party which is aware of the ins and outs of the issues plaguing the state.
Many renowned politicians have become part of the party, while many continue to extend support.
However, the ensuing election is witnessing a slew of poll violence, which is unfortunate.
It is shocking to see political parties trying to force the voters to give up their rights.
NPP strongly condemns such acts, especially those aimed against NPP candidates and their families and it is hope such incidents would not be repeated in future".
NPP will win the elections without indulging in any such violent acts, he claimed.
