Imphal, February 19 2022:
NPP candidate from Singjamei assembly constituency Oinam Romen has asserted that if anyone makes any attempt to suppress the NPP, stronger the party will get and so in the present situation, the party is likely to get absolute majority.
Speaking on the sideline of his road show in Singjamei AC on Saturday, Romen condemned the incidents of poll violence that are happening in the state.
Such violent incidents are being carried out by people who do not know the meaning of democracy.
People know that the next government will be formed by the NPP.
Hence, conspiracies are being hatched to suppress NPP candidates by carrying out violent activities, he claimed.
Romen also expressed his strong condemnation over the attack on the family of NPP candidate from Andro AC.
Such violent acts have also been attempted against him and his workers in Singjamei AC as well, but due to support from the public it has not escalated to an extreme situation.
He and his workers have always responded to such attacks in peaceful manner and the road show also is being conducted in a peaceful way, he reasoned.
Romen continued that he will surely win in this election with Congress candidate I Hemochandra being his closest rival.
He further thanked all who have supported his road show.
