Jiribam AC records over 90 pc turnout

Jiribam, March 06 2022:
The assembly constituency of Jiribam recorded more than 90 per cent polling in the second phase of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election held on Saturday.
A total of 29,298 voters exercised their franchise in 40 polling stations across the AC out of the total number of 14,995 male voters and 14,404 female electors.
Of all the polling stations, 40/20-Rashidpur polling station recorded the highest turnout with 477 voters (excluding four EDC) casting their votes out of the registered 485 voters.
On the other hand, 40/35-Goakhal polling station recorded the lowest turnout, with a total of 468 (excluding four EDC) votes polled out of the registered 609 voters.
Four candidates of BJP, INC, NPP and JDU are contesting in the assembly constituency the result of which will be declared on March 10 .
