Covid claims one more to take toll to 2115

Even as one more individual succumbed to the Covid-19, the TPR has dropped to 1.1 per cent as compared to yesterday's 1.4 per cent.
As per a report of the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the victim belonged to Imphal West.
He had co-morbidities even though he had taken the first dose of Covid vaccine.
The death toll has risen to 2115 .
Out of 946 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, 10 were confirmed positive.
The positive cases are residents of Imphal East (4), Imphal West (3), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (1) and Kangpokpi (1) .
Meanwhile, 29 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (23), RIMS (3) and CCCs (3) .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is 1,36,898 (general population 1,31,885 and Central security personnel 5,013) .
It includes 248 active cases (general population 239 and Central security personnel 9) and 1,34,535 recovered cases (general population 1,29,538 and Central security personnel 5,997) .
The recovery rate now stands at 98.27 per cent.
A total of 228 D-type oxygen cylinders and 82 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Currently, 281 Covid beds are vacant at JNIMS and another 116 at RIMS.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 27,29,025 (first dose 15,16,617, second dose 11,51,266 and precautionary dose 61,142) .
Till Saturday, 49.18 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.16 per cent has received the first dose.
