Khangabok BJP candidate demands re-poll

While alleging proxy voting by JDU workers during the second phase of 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election held on Saturday at 35/5 Trio Club polling station under Khangabok AC, BJP candidate Kh Menjor Mangang has demanded re-poll in the polling station.
BJP candidate's election agent Th Dillip Kumar has submitted a complaint in this regard to the returning officer concerned.
Informing this to media persons during a press cort-ference held at BJP Khangabok Mandal office on Sunday, Dillip Kumar said that the election held on Saturday at 35/5 polling station, the home polling station of JDU candidate Th Jadumani, cannot be considered as valid as there was rampant proxy voting by JDU supporters in -eluding the candidate himself.
Apart from threatening voters, BJP candidate's polling agent was not allowed to sit inside the polling station, he said and urged the ECI to conduct re-poll in the polling station.
The press conference was also attended by Mandal functionaries and workers.
