KSDO, RULE, PCC have it easy in MNCA Superplate Tournament

KSDO (Kiyamgei), RULE (Malom) and PCC (Mayai Koibi) enjoyed easy wins in the Sunday's fixtures of the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament 2022.KSDO notched up a 152-run victory over PTCC (Patsoi) at Langthabal Public Ground.
Electing to bat, the Kiyamgei side rode on Hamza's blistering knock of 118 off 94 to put up a competitive total of 272 for 5.Mohammed Shamir Khan (61/56) also made significant contribution as Reehaj (31), Tarique Aziz (26) and Md Raish Raza (22) did their bit in the innings.
In reply, PTCC faltered in their chase and were dismissed for 120 in 35.5 overs as fighting efforts from Andyroshan Mandingbam (35) and Hujam Hemachandra (26) weren't enough.
Shajahan's bowling spell proved rewarding for KSDO.
He scalped 5 wickets, with Hamza, Md Shamir Khan and Md Abdul Razaque chipping in with one apiece.
RULE, meanwhile, thrashed KASC (Khomidok) by 258 runs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Jay Hourakcham took centre stage, scoring 119 off 114 balls to help RULE post a huge total of 322/3.The innings also saw Ayekpam Ishworjit smash 81 off 54 balls and Mutum Sudhir hit 66 off 65 balls.
RULE then needed 21.3 overs to wipe out KASC's batting lineup and record a commanding win.
Jay Hourakcham complemented his fine batting form with a superb bowling display that earned him 5 wickets in his 4-over spell.
Nongthombam Sarojkumar also impressed with three scalps as Md Karim and Nongthombam Denin bagged one wicket each.
At Oriental College Ground, PCC dominated THAU (Thangmeiband) by 212 runs.
PCC batted first and accumulated 280 runs in 39.5 overs.
Chingakham Ranjan (88), Charoibam Tyson (47), Huidrom Dhanashyam (29), Thokchom Anand (26) and Longjam Gibson (22) were key run-getters for the Mayai Koibi side.
PCC took 19 overs to bundle out THAU for a meagre 68.Lourembam Dipu, Chingakham Ranjan, Thokchom Anand and John N grabbed two wickets each and Chingkheihunba took one to steer their team to an emphatic triumph.
