Kakching, April 12 2022:
Sugnu MLA Kangujam Ranjit on Monday inspected various hospitals and health centres under Sugnu assembly constituency.
Accompanied by chief medical officer Kakching Dr Thaodem Rajen, Ranjit visited Sub District Hospital Sugnu, Community Health Centre Wangoo Laipham, Primary Health Centre Serou and Primary Health Centre Kakching Khunou and discussed the needs and requirements with hospital authorities and management committees.
Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, MLA K Ranjit contended that in-spite of the government claiming that under chief minister N Biren the health sector has improved significantly in the state and has provided CMHT cards for availing free medical care, but the condition of government health centre is terrible.
Ranjit maintained that during the visit, he found health centres in Sugnu AC lacking manpower including doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, lab technicians, MTS, etc., along with absence of required medical equipment.
The state government must not just talk but also provide basic needs of various health centres in the constituency at the earliest, he emphasised.
