DESAM rounds up 3 for leaking question papers

The Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has rounded up three persons for allegedly being involved in leaking Class XII English and MIL papers, today.
Briefing the media at Kwakeithel today, DESAM secretary general Mayengbam Somorjit Luwang said that the three persons who leaked the examination papers along with the corresponding answers have been identified as Thokchom Robinson from Mutum Phibou, Buya-mayum Shahish Khan from Oinam Sawombung and Yumkhaibam Amar from Bengoon.
He continued that Thokchom Robinson, Buyamayum Shahish Khan were rounded up from KP College examination centre at Hiyangthang for providing answer sheets to the students there and from their phones a photo of leak English paper question was found uploaded in a Whatsapp group "Quest Family Girls 21-22" on the day of the examination at around 9 am.

As per DESAM, the photocopy of the leak question paper was uploaded by the owner of Quest Tutorial Centre, Yumkhaibam Amar nearly an hour before the examination while the answers for the same were uploaded at around 9.51 am.
Somorjit further stated that the question paper of MIL was also found uploaded on April 9 in the same Whatsapp group by one Washima Shah who is at large at around 9 am while the answers were uploaded by Amar at around 10.35 am.
Saying that DESAM also has certain other evidences of unfair means being used in the Class XII examination which are not appropriate to disclose at the moment, he added that leaking the question papers for such a big examination which play an immense role in shaping the career of students is a big loss for the society at large.
He then urged the State Government and CoHSEM to arrest whoever is found involved in using unfair means in the examination.
DESAM said that articles seized from them will be handed over to police.
