44 AR conducts health camp

Imphal, April 12 2022:
Contributing to wards 'Fit India Movement' and as a part of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", 44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector/IGAR (East) organised a free "door to door" health check-up cum Covid awareness camp at Mandu and Phoklong Khullen villages in Tamenglong district on Tuesday.
In a release, PRO (Defence) informed that during door to door check up, the battalion medical staff carrying essential medicines treated elders, needy and underprivileged locals from nearby villages and distributed generic medicines free of cost.
The medical team during Covid awareness camp car ried out basic health check up for approximately 40 civilians including women and children and free generic medicines were distributed to them.
The medical team of battalion also addressed various medical issues of locals and assured them of unit's unwavering commitment to ensure wellbeing of people of the Tamenglong district.
