Yaithibi Loukol : Demand raised to let owners reacquire their land

Yaithibi Loukol Land Owners' Association president Kh Romenkumar has appealed to the State Government to return the land acquired for constructing National Sports University (NSU) to its owners as the same has been shifted to another site.
He also stated that the land owners are ready to return the amount given by the State Government to reacquire the land at Yaithibi Loukol.
Speaking to media persons today, Romenkumar continued that the Government acquired the land in 2014-15 by giving several assurances which have never been fulfilled.
Continuing that the State Government also assured to establish a model village on the western side of the paddy field and provide suitable jobs and land measuring 0.20 acre to the affected land owners, Romenkumar maintained that land owners agreed to sell their land in the larger interest of the sportspersons.
