Kalapahar lad clears INI-CET exam, bodies hail

Kangpokpi, November 23 2022:
A Gorkha lad, Dr Aman Gurung, son of Baba Gurung and Deepa Gurung of Kalapahar, Kangpokpi district, recently cleared the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) Examination with All India Rank (AIR) 11, creating a record among the Gorkha community in the state.
It maybe mentioned that INI-CET is a new common entrance exam that the central government launched for postgraduate medical students to enrol in PG courses such as MD, MS, DM (6 years), MCh (6 years) and MDS in elite institutions like the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS/New Delhi), Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) and others.
An alumnus of SFS Daili, Kangpokpi and Don Bosco College, Maram, Dr Aman Gurung secured AIR 11 and is also the Manipur topper in the examination scripting record among the Gorkha community in the state.
Dr Aman had completed his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal.
While lauding the achievement of Dr Aman, Manipur Gorkha Welfare Union MGWU) conveyed its heartiest congratulations and best wishes to him in his future endeavour and also prayed for his success in the future.
All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) also congratulated Dr Aman Gurung and wished him the best in his future career.
