3 advance to final round of State boxing championship

Three boxers secured gold-medal bouts in the State Level Boxing Championships 2022 which got underway at Boxing Arena, Khuman Lampak on Wednesday.
Lantham Anjuta Chanu (-42kg), Radhamani Longjam (-46kg) and Khaidem Manganthoi Chanu (-46kg) were the first boxers to book title bouts in the sub-junior girls' competition.
In the elite men's group, Laishram Edison Singh (men's - 57kg) and Rahul Kumar (men's 60kg) made it to the semi-finals.
The sub-junior boys' competition saw Amaraj Wahengba (-43kg), Wangthoi Chirom (-43kg), Thongram Manithoiba Meitei (-46 kg), Oinam Khagembam Meitei (-49kg), Tongbram Piter Meitei (-49kg), Khaidem Sanatoniba Meitei (-52kg), B Edwin (-55kg), Johnson Khoirom Singh (-58kg) and Keisham Thoungamba Singh (-58kg) progress to the semifinal round.
The semifinalists in the sub-junior girls' event were Gunshalu Khumba (-48kg), Ningthoujam Anjali Devi (-50kg), Aheibam Soniya Devi (-52kg) and Soibam Analish Devi (-54kg).In the master event, Usham Thouna Luwang (-36kg), Mayolsana Sapam (36 kg), Kshetrimayum Alexender Singh (-44kg) and Gershom Awungshi (-44kg) booked semifinal spots.
