Gorkha lad cracks INICET

Imphal, November 23 2022:
A young Gorkha lad from Kalapahar in Kangpokpi district has cleared the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INICET) with All India Rank (AIR) of 11 creating a record among the Gorkha community in the State.
He ranks first for Manipur State.
Dr Aman Gurung hails from Kalapahar village and is son of Deepa Gurung and Babu Gurung.
He completed MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat, Imphal and is an alumnus of SFS Daili, Kangpokpi, and Don Bosco College, Maram.
Following the news of this feat, many Gorkha organisations have poured in congratulations and wishes for his future career.
The Manipur Gorkha Welfare Union conveyed its heartiest congratulations and wished the young doctor all success in future.
The All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union also congratulated Dr Aman for securing 11 th rank in the INI CET.
It wished Dr Aman the very best in all his future endeavours and a successful career.
Conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, INI CET, known as Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test, provides admission into PG courses such as Masters of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgie (MCh) at 16 institutions including 12 AIIMS across the country as well as JIPMER (Puducherry), PGIMER (Chandigarh), and NIMHANS (Bengaluru), and SCTIMST, Trivandrum.
INI CET is conducted twice a year.
It was conducted for the first time on November 20, 2020 .
