Thoubal DH resumes cataract operation

Thoubal, November 23 2022:
Thoubal District Hospital has resumed its normal cataract operations from Wednesday, after it was suspended since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A programme to celebrate the resumption of service was organised with Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subhash, National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impaired, Thoubal nodal officer Dr Ksh Memcha and Thoubal District hospital medical superintendent Dr Ruhini as presidium members.
Hospital's eye specialists Dr Reagan and Bimola led a team and performed the cataract operation on two patients successfully.
Speaking to newspersons, Dr Ksh Memcha urged all those in need of cataract operation to visit the hospital and avail the service for free.
Meanwhile, DC Subhash inspected the ongoing construction works of the district hospital building.
