3 cases detected, TPR dips below 1 pc

The daily test positivity rate (TPR) fell below 1 per cent on Tuesday as government bulletins reported three new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 327 samples tested in the last 24 hours, registering 0.92 per cent against 2.19 per cent recorded on Monday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, four patients were discharged from home isolation.
Number of active cases came down to 37 out of which 12 (32.43 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,377 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
According to official re ports, all the three fresh cases (female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal East (1) and Imphal West (2) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,165 while 1,30,001 patients from among the general population and 5,007 CAPF personnel have recovered so far.
The number of active cases is 37 (general population - 37 and CAPF personnel 0) and recovery rate is 98.43 per cent.
A total of 102 D-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 2375 vaccine doses administered taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,48,399, including 11,89,812 beneficiaries who had received the second dose and 68,625 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,733), Imphal East (30,437), Thoubal (10,155), Churachandpur (11,052), Kangpokpi (3130), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9831), Senapati (2492), Ukhrul (3274), Kakching (6894), Chandel (2718), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,204 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,652 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,17,389 tests per million population against the national average of 5,65,732 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent while the cumulative positivity rate came down to 8.54 per cent.
