Senapati, November 10 2022:
As part of AMHSDA's (All Manipur Health Services Doctors' Association) ongoing stir, doctors of Senapati District today staged a sit-in-protest at District Hospital, Senapati in support of the demands made under the umbrella of AMHSDA.
Speaking to media persons, Dr Kiran Angom, Paediatric Specialist, District Hospital Senapati, stated that the sit-in was staged protesting the non-implementation of the 8 points demand made by AMHSDA.
"The demands place by AMHSDA include time-bound promotion and extending retirement age of specialist and non-specialist doctors to 65 years among others", said Dr Kiran while adding that the demands have not been fulfilled despite repeated memorandums and an ultimatum has also been sent to the Government of Manipur in this regard.

Similar protests were also reportedly staged at Sub-District Hospital, Mao; Imphal East, Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts.
