Mayang lmphal candidates promise potable water, jobs

With an objective to inform the public about the visions of the candidates contesting the ensuing election, The People's Chronicle talked with the three candidates in fray for the seat of Mayang Irnphal constituency.
NPP candidate Urikhibam Ramesh Singh confided that he is contesting the election to usher in a new Mayang Imphal and a vibrant Manipur.
Highlighting that there is chronic shortage of potable water supply in the constituency, he assured safe drinking water and to frame policies for creation of job for the youth if he wins the election.
According to INC candidate Khumujam Ratankumar Singh, he is contesting the election to do something notable for the state by using his experience in electoral politics.
While confiding that he will give special focus on health sector, former MLA Ratankumar said if elected his priority would be completion of the district hospital which he had initiated along with taking up projects to provide potable water to every household.
Sharing his vision for the state, Ratankumar said that he will try to make the state a progressive one and make a tourist friendly state to generate income.
BJP candidate Kongkham Robindro said that he is contesting the election to work for the people by joining hands with them.
He also assured to give emphasis on improving economy of the state through implementation of income generation ventures for the youth and regenerate the farmlands affected due to commissioning of the Loktak project if he is re-elected.
Robindro further said that he will work for bringing peace and harmony in the state.
