NIT Manipur 95th in NIRF ranking 2023

The National Insti-tute of Technology (NIT), Manipur has been ranked 95th among 1314 Engineering Colleges in India as per the National Institutional Rank-ing Framework (NIRF), 2023.Then NIRF ranking was declared by the Union minis-ter of education Dharmendra Pradhan and Union minister of state RK Ranjan during a function held in New Delhi on Monday.
Addressing media persons in this regard at Langol, NIT Manipur director in-charge professor Kh Manglem said that in the north east re-gion, NIT Manipur is placed at 4th rank.
The credit for this goes to the faculty, staff and students of the institute, he said.
He further informed that the institute has been able to climb from the 108th in the previous year and also managed to hold on to the previous year's rank with respect to north east region.
The institute will strive to better the ranking in the following years as well, he affirmed, adding that it will try to increase the publica-tion standard, patents, proj-ects and placements with the combined effort of the faculty, staff and students.
Stating that the institute has been providing best job placement opportunities to its students, Professor Kh Manglem pointed out that providing an annual salary package of Rs 47 lakh of-fered by Amazon is a great achievement for the insti-tute.
The institute has been providing placement to 83 percent of students at av-erage annual salary pack-age of Rs 9.6 lakh in various multi-national companies including Microsoft.
The press conference was also attended by MIT Mani-pur registrar professor Kh Tomba, Dean (Academic) professor Rajesh Kumar Bushan, Mechanical Engi-neering department head Dr Anilkumar Birru and as-sistant Registrar (Admn and Estt) L Dorendro.
