Govt begins process to compensate Covid victims

Imphal, March 08 2022:
Directorate of Relief & Disaster Management Committee has advised families who lost their near and dear ones to Covid-19 pandemic to submit certificate of Covid-19 death for availing ex-gratia assistance of Rs 50,000.As per a release issued by Relief & Disaster Management director KG Daigong, families concerned should submit their claims through the application form/claim which may be had from the deputy commissioner office, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) or SDOs concerned.
In addition, families of Covid-19 victims may download the application form and submit the same through http://crm.mn.gov.in/ .
The applicant can also track the progress of their application online.
Parties concerned are also informed to contact the District Level Committee/Redressal Grievances Committee of the respective district in case of any grievances or complaint in connection to the ex-gratia payment, certification of death, etc.
It may be mentioned here that the state government had previously announced to provide ex-gratia assistance of Rs 50,000 to the next kin (families) of the Covid-19 victims, subject to cause of death being certified as Covid-19 death.
