YWC, RULE cruise in MNCA Superplate Tournament

YWC (Langthabal) outplayed KSDO (Kiyamgei) by 5 wickets while RULE (Malom) cruised to a 109-run win over SDC (Laipham Khunou) in Tuesday's action of the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament.
YWC chased down a 131-run target for the loss of 5 wickets in their match played at Langthabal Public Ground.
Ngangbam Bishwash (39), Jiko Sorokhaibam (34) and Seram Robinson were notable contributors in the Lanthabal side's comfortably triumph.
Earlier, YWC's duo of Leishangthem Bishorjit and Soubam Robinson wreaked havoc on KSDO's batting order by picking up 3 wickets each as Laishram Dinachandra, Ngangbam Bishwash and Yenshenbam Vivek chipped in with one apiece to lay the foundation for their victory.
Hamza hit 60 but KSDO were dismissed for 131 in 31.5 overs.
RULE, meanwhile, scored 205 for 8 and successfully defended their total against SDC courtesy of a fine bowling display spearheaded by Jay Hourakcham.
Jay snapped 4 wickets, Md Karim bagged 3, Nongthombam Sarojkumar claimed 2 and Nongthombam Denin and Sanjenbam Ananda took 1 each to steer RULE to a comprehensive victory.
Earlier, a collective batting effort from Nongthombam Denin (54), Sanjenbam Suresh (25), Ayekpam Rakesh (23), Sanjenbam Ananda (22) and Rajkumar Herachandra (21) gave RULE a competitive total of 205/8 which SDC failed to surpass.
