Dr Kamal Literature Festival concludes

Imphal, March 08 2022:
Dr Kamal International Manipuri Literature Festival, which was jointly organised by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Meghalaya and Phunga Heritage, concluded in Meghalaya on Monday.
The closing day of the two-day event had a tour programme,'Khorirol Khongchat', which was flagged off from the office premises of Phunga Heritage, Shillong.
The tour covered the 1891 Manipur Memorial Stone located at All Saints Church, and different schools where Dr Kamal and MK Binodini went for study as well as several locations from where Dr Kamal got his inspiration for his literary works.
A poets' meet was also conducted at Smith Heritage Complex with Sahitya Akademi award winning writer Saratchand Thiyam in the chair.
Writers from different states as well as from Bangladesh joined the meet both online and onsite.
A cultural evening programme was also held at the auditorium of Asian Conference in which Several artistes including Laishram Memma performed.
Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Meghalaya president Munish Ningthoujam and secretary Kamaljit Chirom also attended the programmes.
