18 test positive, 25 discharged

Altogether 18 persons including one CAPF personnel tested positive for Covid-19 while 25 recovered from the viral infection during the last 24 hours.
The State logged a daily positivity rate of 1.4 per cent as 18 were confirmed positive out of 1,326 tested for Covid-19 .
The 17 civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (1), Imphal West (5), Thoubal (2), Kakching (1), Bishnupur (2), Tamenglong (1), Tengnoupal (1), Noney (1), Churachandpur (2) and Senapati (1) .
The death toll remains unchanged at 2115 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
Following recovery, 25 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (17), RIMS (2), JNIMS (2) and CCCs (4) .
At present, the number of Covid-19 active cases in the State is 112 (general population 104 and Central security personnel 8) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,36,921 (general population 1,31,907 and Central security personnel 5014).It includes 1,34,694 recovered cases (general population 1,29,695 and Central security personnel 4,999) .
The recovery rate as on Tuesday is 98.37 per cent.
A total of 252 D-type oxygen cylinders and 76 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Currently, 284 (out of 300) Covid beds are vacant at JNIMS and another 117 (out of 190) at RIMS.
Taking into account 4442 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 27,33,897 (first dose 15,17,897, second dose 11,54,505 and precautionary dose 61,495) .
Till Monday, 49.32 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.19 per cent has been given the first dose.
