BSF personnel assist accident victims

Imphal, March 08 2022:
At least 6 people were injured after a civilian truck met with an accident and fell into a hillside culvert along the Moreh-Imphal road at a distance of 72km from Imphal, around 8.10 am Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a convoy of E/97 coy along with tactical HQ of Ad-hoc 438 Bn, which was returning to Imphal from Moreh after completion of election duty, and was ahead of the accident site by about 150 metres, had stopped as one of the vehicles of tactical HQ was off road and undergoing repairs.
On seeing the fallen truck, the troops rushed to the scene and started evacuating the passengers from the truck including the driver.
The BSF troopers administered emergency first aid and sent the injured to Moreh hospital, which was the nearest, for further treatment.
The battalion also informed SP Chandel and ASP Moreh about the accident, after which police team arrived at the scene, a report conveyed.
