PREPAK observes Red Army Uprising Day

The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) reportedly observed the 42nd Red Army Uprising Day of its armed wing Red Army on Saturday.
According to a PREPAK statement, the Red Army Uprising Day was observed at outfit's central headquarters (CHQ), 701 Mobile Battalion headquarters, 707 Mobile Battalion headquarters and other areas.
The simple observance function held at CHQ was attended by Red Army's Interim Council chairman Aheiba Angom as chief guest, chief of army staff (CAS) N Romi Meitei as pres ident and charge de' affairs of publicity and propaganda Leibaak Ngaakpa Luwang as guest of honour.
The observance began with lighting of ceremonial lamp by interim council chairman and paying of rich floral tributes to martyrs.
The chairman then highlighted achievements of the interim council within a short period, the statement added.
The PREPAK statement issued by its publicity officer Mangal Khuman further said that observance function at 701 Mobile Battalion was marked with unfurling of outfit's flag and paying of floral tributes to martyrs by the cadres led by GSO-2 of Red Army major Rocky while GSO-3 Major Lan-gamba led the observance at 707 Mobile Battalion.
Message of the interim council chairman given on the occasion was read out at the observance venues.
