Imphal, March 26 2022:
All Manipur BPCL Dealers cum Transporters' Association has urged Nagaland's Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO) to withdraw the latter's indefinite bandh being enforced in Southern Angami area to demand the removal of the Manipur police outpost set up in the border area of the two states.
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club here on Friday, Association's assistant secretary RK Prakash highlighted that the drivers and assistant drivers stranded along with the national highway are facing untold miseries.
Further pointing out that the fuel brought into the state are directly put on sale in the retail outlets as there are no BPCL oil depots, he also urged the authorities concerned to bring an end to the issue through peaceful talks, adding that dealer and workers of BPCL are on the verge of starvation due to rapid exhaustion of ration stock as well as means to replenish the same in wake of the indefinite bandh.
