Oil tankers to take NH 37 route

Imphal, March 26 2022:
To ensure that there is no shortage of petroleum products in the state due to the indefinite bandh called by Southern Angami People's Organisation (SAPO) along National Highway- 2 (Imphal-Dimapur) road, oil and gas bullet tankers will bring in the essential items through NH-37 (Imphal Jiribam) road from Sunday.
According to a reliable source, petroleum products and other essential items could not be brought into the state due to the indefinite bandh called by SAPO.
Subsequently, the fuel stock of the state remains for only five to six days.
Taking this into consideration, IOC has decided to bring in necessary fuel to the state through NH-37.Moreover, oil tankers stranded in Khatkati of Assam since Friday have begun moving towards Imphal through Jiribam.
In addition to this, empty tankers will leave Imphal to bring in fuel through NH-37 from Sunday, the source revealed.
