Imphal, August 26 2026: A young woman who went toward the Kuki village of Khoken has gone missing.

Ngangbam Nanao (26) of Sangaithel, Imphal West went toward Khoken village yesterday.

Following reports that the woman was seen moving between the Olympic Park, Sangaithel and Khoken village, local people and CRPF troops have been searching for the woman since yesterday but she could not be traced so far.

The CRPF troops continued the search this morning too using sniffer dogs and drones but the woman could not be found.

According to some local people who took part in the search operations, one Kabui man saw Ngangbam Nanao near the Kuki village of Khoken.

The spot where Nanao disappeared is located between a CRPF post and an Assam Rifles post, at the border between Imphal West and Kangpokpi districts.

Maintaining that Kangpokpi does not come under their jurisdiction, the CRPF troops are not searching for the missing woman on the Kangpokpi side.

On the other hand, the AR post located on Kangpokpi side has been maintaining that no one crossed into their side.
