Yumnam Ramkumar condoled

A condolence meeting was held today at United People's Front (UPF), Manipur Head Office at Keishamthong Nambul Mapal to condole the sudden demise of Yumnam Ramkumar of Cachar Lakhipur Len Leikai in Assam.
Members of UPF, NIPCO, CADA, MAPI Council, AMPFA, AMKIL, Nupi Samaj, TAMI CHINGMI, EECHAL, Thoubal IMA, UPAACO, NIMPAL, NIANL and ANUL attended the condolence meeting chaired by UPF president, Nongthombam Rupachandra, said a press note by UPF.
The attendees observed two-minute silence in the honour of the departed who made significant contributions for the welfare of Manipuri youths in Cachar and for the upliftment of Manipuri diaspora.
Speaking at the occasion, UPF Advisor L Jadumani recalled that Yumnam Ramkumar strove for the welfare of unemployed Manipuri youths in Assam and also served as the founder member of Unemployment Manipuri Youth Student Association.
Jadumani further said that he made significant contributions in the Pan Manipuri youth league and was in jail during the struggle for Manipuri language.
He was also the advisor of AAMSU Central Committee for a long time and was also an active member of Cachar Native People Convention, he added.
Apart from this, he also worked selflessly for the welfare of farmers and in important issues of Lakhipur Constituency.
Jadumani maintained that his demise is an irreparable loss for all Manipuris and prayed that may his soul rest in peace in the Heavenly abode.
The attendees also extended their condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for strength to overcome this tough period of loss and grief.
