Imphal, April 03 2023:
Candidates who appeared in the written examination of the recruitment of 300 Grade IV Medical Officers in Manipur Health Services conducted by Manipur Public Service Commission on May 10, 2022 have urged the authorities concerned to declare the result at the earliest.
The candidates who appeared in the said examination expressed discontentment that the result is pending for almost a year now and it has become a cause of concern and worry among them.
Addressing media persons, some of the candidates stated that most of the candidates who appeared in the written examination served the people during the tough times of COVID-19 pandemic.
In view of their service during the pandemic, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India issued a directive to give preference to frontline workers mainly doctors and para-medical staff in the recruitment process, they said.
The candidates maintained that as per the above directive, the Health Services Directorate of the State presented certificates of appreciation to these frontline workers entitled 'Covid Warriors' and accordingly the MPSC should award 10 marks to the certificate holders.
'However there were many irregularities in the certificate issuance process which led to the matter being taken up to Court', they added.
The candidates urged the State Government and MPSC to declare the result of the written examination at the earliest to alleviate their problems.
