IPAK cries foul over housie draw

Indigenous People's of Kang-leipak (IPAK) has decried the involvement of a politician in preventing policemen from discharging their duties when they went to raid a housie draw being organized by Chinga-mathak Young Learners Club at Hao Ground yesterday.
Sources revealed that the organisers had the backing of a politician and police remained as mute spectators to the happenings.
It had summoned the housie organisers particularly the politician before his name is released to the media, to come to the office of IPAK and clarify on or before December 10, according to a statement issued by general secretary (Adm) of IPAK.
In another incident, a team of Lamshang police station led by OC Th Manihar raided a housie venue yesterday at Touthong and confiscated many materials used in Tombola games.
IPAK expressed gratitude to the Officer-in-Charge and police personnel of Lamshang police station for their act.
