Imphal, December 07 2015:
The Ministry of Agriculture has recently noticed a fake recruitment racket being run by a company and has cautioned people not to fall prey to fake companies.
According to reports, gullible candidates who were victims to the tactics of the company have lodged complaints to the ministry.
"We have received some cases regarding vacancies and appointment letters given to some people under the name of Ministry of Agriculture.
Candidates were complaining that they have paid money to the firm also.
Candidates have to be careful about the genuineness of the advertisement," a senior official at Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare is quoted as stating in a recent news report.
The ministry's section office managed to find out the name of the company and issued a notice against it.
The ministry observed that an organisation with the name NACS Limited is "masquerading itself as Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under Ministry of Agriculture, government of India, and has issued vacancies on its website (http://nacsindia.in) pertaining to agriculture and allied sectors." The ministry official had clarified that there is no such organisation operating under Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
NACS limited claims to have been established in September 2001 with specialisations in the fields of Farm Forestry, Teak Plantations, Bio-Fuels, Breeding, Bovine Genetics, Food Processing of Meat and manufacturing of Sanitary Napkins.
The company claims to be based in Uttarakhand and to have several branch offices in Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala and Punjab and also countries like Canada, USA, UAE, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and China.
However, the ministry had advised people to refrain from this organisation and made it clear that the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare will bear no responsibility for any acts on behalf of this organisation.
Similarly, the Meghalaya police on December 2 cautioned against the same company.
Superintendent of Police (City) Vivek Syiem informed that a fake company (NAACS Ltd) having its corporate address as Udham Singh Nagar, Dehradun, Uttarakhand had advertised more than 7000 job vacancies in its website targeting the youths specially from the Northeast.
He said that the company claims to be registered under the Public Sector Undertaking Act, Government of India but no such Act exist in the Indian laws, nor its corporate office is present in the given address.
