While Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi on Monday said to media that the postmortem report says that it is a death by hanging, the deceased's kin allege murder.
The DCP, however, informed that further investigation is still on.
Meanwhile, mystery shrouds behind the death of the Manipuri youth.
PrameyaNews7 had tried to identify the whereabouts of the deceased youth and preliminary reports revealed that he was one L.Poumai of Manipur as his brother there had identified him from the photo sent on Whatsapp.
Talking to PrameyaNews7 over phone from Manipur earlier, Poumai's elder brother informed that his brother had last contacted him over phone from the running train at about 4.55 pm on December 29 and had informed him that he had been threatened by a gang of five miscreants.
On Monday, his brother told PrameyaNews7 here that they threatened L.Poumai to kill him and dump him onto the rail line.
On the day of the incident (December 2), a local woman while talking to PrameyaNews7 revealed that on the intervening night they had heard yelling and wailing of a youth and hurling of abuses by a gang of ruffians and a white car and some vehicles were found parked there.
PrameyaNews7 Bhubaneswar Correspondent also reported then that plastic glasses containing liquor, leaf plates and empty liquor bottles were found on the concrete platform of the adjacent playground.
How could a stranger choose the spot for committing suicide and that too scaling the high boundary wall of a Government quarter instead of choosing the easy path of trees beside the field ? .
