Imphal, December 07 2015:
Reminding the recent observation of Union of India's Attorney General (AG) Mukul Roha in connection with the cases of fake encounters in Manipur in the Supreme Court, the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front on Monday alleged that Government of India has embarked on a secret agenda of "genocide" to suppress the people's liberation movement and to make the "nation" extinct from the global map.
Recalling the AG's comment that Indian security forces were killing the "enemies" in Manipur, the RPF said the comment has confirmed the agenda of India.
A statement signed by RPF Secretary Publicity, Roben Khuman said "The comment showed the act of genocide in Manipur committed by the Indian Army in the name of suppressing the people's liberation movement is right," alleged RPF.
"Union of India's statement in the Supreme Court proves that Manipur is not a part of India.
It shows that in the country, Manipuris are outsiders and those who are involved in the people's liberation movement are taken as enemies or terrorists and allow their security forces to commit genocide in Government of India's way, said RPF.
The outfit alleged that this was to fulfill India's objectives of suppressing the liberation movement under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act so that the armed groups could be coerced into participating in peace talk "undemocratically and inhumanly by threatening and declaring revolutionaries as terrorist," said RPF.
"Excluding the unreported incidents, the numbers of persons who have been killed in fake encounter cases by the security forces in Manipur is above 1528 which is 14.43% of the total population of the State.
If the percentage applies in India's population, then around 80 million people have been killed by the security forces but it is Government of India's secret agenda to keep 'genocide' in dark by claiming the numbers as few," added RPF.
The statement further said that Government of India takes people of Manipur as enemies because "We are different from India in many ways including origin, languages, cultures and traditions and features.
RPF further alleged that the BJP's vision document of 2015 Delhi Assembly Election had clearly mentioned that people from the Northeast region are emigrants who have been shifted from outside countries.
"Government of India argues that 'genocide' shall not be taken as a law and order issue when she tries to oppress the Manipur's people's liberation movement in the name of law and order instead of focusing on the political solution," added the statement.
"Moreover, Manipur is more than 2000 years old Asiatic Sovereign Nation State which was annexed in the middle way by India which only became a Nation State by the grace of Britishers in 1947 after the emergence of de-colonization movement in 1945.Such differences are the reason why Government of India is taking the people of Manipur as enemies and the reason of imposing Black Laws, against the wishes of the people of the world, to continue 'genocide' as their secret agenda," added RPF.
