GoI is the aggressor: RPF-1

Imphal, December 07 2015:
This time it has been exposed that the Government of India (GoI) has been committing genocide in their efforts to suppress the liberation movement of Manipur, alleged the proscribed RPF.
A few days back, GoI's Attorney General Mukul Roha told the country's Supreme Court that the Indian military forces were just performing their duties in order to protect the country's sovereignty when there was foreign aggression and attacks by terrorists and they could not be pulled up for the collateral damages done in the process.
This implied that the Indian military forces did nothing wrong when they massacred multitude of Manipuri people in the name of defending India's sovereignty, the outfit asserted in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary Roben Khuman.
GoI's representation to the Supreme Court further imply that Manipur is not a part of India but a foreign country.
From the perspective of GoI, Manipuris are foreigners and any confrontation between Indian military forces and Manipuri people is a confrontation between external forces.
Driven by this perspective, GoI declared all liberation groups as unlawful organisations under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
At some instances, GoI tried to initiate peace talk with the revolutionary groups by adopting a more friendly attitude and declaring the Manipuri people as citizens of India.
At the same time, GoI has been consistently projecting revolutionary groups of the land as terrorist organisations.
However, a few days back, GoI was saying that Manipuri people were foreigners and terrorists and this statement exposed the true colour of India.
Indian military forces have already executed 1528 Manipuri people in fake encounters.
Above this figure, there are many more cases of fake encounter killings.
The assertion that the killings were few and far between smacked of an intervention to cover up the genocide committed on the soil of Manipur.
One fundamental reason for GoI to see Manipuri people as their enemies is the origin of Manipuri people, their language, culture, traditions and physical appearances which are quite different from Indian people.
It was for this very reason that Sardar Patel once said, "Never trust Manipuri people and we can never live in peace with them" .
BJP's Vision Document published ahead of the Delhi Assembly election this year referred to people from the North East region as emigrants which means people from foreign countries.
Rather than adopting any political approach, GoI has been consistently projecting the political issue (liberation movement of Manipur) as a law and order problem.
But Manipur lived as an Asiatic sovereign Nation spanning over a period of 2000 years.
On the other hand, India took birth only in 1947 with the blessing of British imperialists.
Because of this historical incompatibility, GoI has been viewing and treating Manipuri people as adversaries.
Black laws which are obsolete in any other part of the world are being enforced in Manipur with a sinister motive to commit genocide, it alleged.
AFSPA 1958 which is being used as a tool for committing genocide is another face of AFSPO 1942 which was enacted by the British rulers to suppress Indian people.
Apart from numerous human rights groups based in different countries, the Justice Jeevan Reddy Committee constituted at the behest of GoI remarked that AFSPA was inhuman.
The committee remarked that AFSPA was a symbol of exploitation and recommended its abolition.
However, GoI, following strong objection raised by its military forces, has been steadfastly standing behind the draconian law, it continued.
