KYVO crush TRUGPU as YOSC, LYGSEDA play out draw

Imphal, September 28 2022:
Kwasiphai Youths Volunteer organisation (KYVO) inflicted a heavy 5-0 defeat on TRUGPU while Youth Organization Sporting Club (YOSC) were held to a 3-3 draw by Langching Youth Games Social Educational & Development Association (LYGSEDA) in the 2nd AMFA Cup 2022 on Wednesday.
Soraisam Simaren Singh grabbed a hat-trick in YOSC's emphatic 5-0 win over TRUGPU at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
YOSC were made to work hard for their opener which came in the 38th minute courtesy of a sublime strike by Jr Jonitson Chiru.
The Kwasiphai side then ran riot in the second period as Simaren doubled the advantage in the 48th minute and Taoren Kelvin Singh was on target in the 63rd minute to stretch their lead to 3-0.Then Simaren took charge of the rest.
He scored his second goal in the 71st minute and made it 4-0 before wrapping up his hat-trick and the victory with an injury-time goal.
Earlier in the day, YOSC squandered a two-goal lead to settle for a 3-3 draw with LYGSEDA.
Nawaz Shah opened the scoring in the 25th minute and Daniel Khuman extended their advantage in a matter of one minute before Jang-neithang halved the deficit for LYGSEDA in the 28th minute.
Nawaz Shah was at it again in the 30th minute to restore YOSC's two-goal cushion as Jangminlal Haokip found the back of the net in the 44th minute to inspire hopes of revival for LYGSEDA before the break.
After the interval, LYGSEDA took just nine minutes to make it all square with Ngamtinsei firing in the equaliser that eventually denied YOSC of all three points.
