Training programme on FPC, food processing ends

A two-day training programme cum sensitisation on Farmers Producer company (FPC) management, food processing and value addition for Dilung FPC concluded at Longmai Part-4 Peaceland community hall, here on Tuesday.
The training was conducted by Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS)with the support of Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) under MOVCDNER Phase 3.DSSS staff Martina Phaomei and Guangjonliu Gonmei and Dilung FPC CEO were resource persons of the training programme, participated by 54 members from 10 Farmers Interest Groups (FIGs).
The training covered food processing of banana chips, tapioca chips, King Chilli pickle, green chilli pickle, bamboo shoot pickle, ginger candy, gooseberry candy, bitter gourd pickle and chicken pickles.
The training programme was conducted to impart skills on food processing and enhance farmer's income through the production of value added food items from locally grown fruits and vegetables.
