Naga Solidarity Pillar unveiled

Naga solidarity pillar erected at Tagaramphung Thangal village, in Senapati district was unveiled by Mao MLA Losii Dikho on Wednesday.
Losii Dikho unveiled the monolith in the presence of Karong MLA J Kumo Sha, United Naga Council (UNC) executives, presidents of tribe Hohos and their executives, CNPO, JTC, NPO TNL, ANSAM, NWU, NPMHR (South), ex presidents of UNC and others.
Speaking as chief guest of the event, MLA Dikho lauded the unity of Nagas after witnessing the gathering of important and responsible Naga leaders of Manipur at Tagaramphung Thangal village and said that the gathering was historic.
While seeking God's kingdom as a Christian, MLA Losii Dikho said that reward may not come anytime and any moment but it will come one day.
Former leaders might not have received their reward including due respect from people but their history of sacrifice would never go in vain, he said, adding that coming together for a mission shows the unity.
The MLA then urged all to continue contribution towards unity and oneness.
In his keynote address, UNC president S Kho John stated that the Naga solidarity pillar stands as a testament of the land, identity and history of the people and the foundation stone for the same was laid by the then chief minister of Nagaland TR Zeliang on October 19, 2016 .
He said that Naga becoming minority in their own homeland is the main reason behind erecting the monolith at the place.
Ex-UNC president G Gaingam exhorted the gathering by mentioning that UNC was formed in 1981 and peaceful co-existence will prevail when there is good relation between hill and valley.
The former UNC leader then urged all to extend support to the organisation for greater development in future.
