U-17 WC: India go down 0-3 to Morocco

India showed an improved side but went down by 0-3 goals to Morocco for the second loss in the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup today at Kalinga Stadium Bhubaneswar.
Having suffered a heavy defeat in the hands of USA in the opening match, the hosts team made few changes including goalkeeper, fielding Keisham Melody today who made some brilliant saves.
With defenders also showing much improvement, U-17 girls managed to hold off Morocco attack and entered into the break without conceding a goal.
After the break, relentless Morocco found the breakthrough off a penalty via Doha El Madana in the 51st minute before Yasmine Zouhir doubled the advantage in the 62nd minute following a goal mouth fumble.
Lynda Kom who substituted midfielder Neha after 65 minutes did her best to help create India few chances but ended in vain as Morocco defence were good enough to keep all threats at bay.
Djennah Cherif then completed a fine finish at the fag end make it 3-0 for Morocco.
