ULB poll in 333 polling stations in Imphal West

As the government is gearing up for holding the election to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the last part of the current year, Imphal West district will see votes cast in 333 polling stations for seven ULBs including Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC).
As per information intimated by DC Imphal West, who is also the DEO of the district, to the secretary of state election commission, out of the 27 wards of IMC, 20 are in Imphal West.
These 20 wards will have 40 ward development committee members and will cast votes in 189 polling stations.
SDO Lamphel will be the returning officer or ERO for the 20 wards of IMC.
Mayang Imphal MC has 13 wards and polls for 26 ward development committee members will be held in 28 polling stations.
Samurou MC has 11 wards and polls for 22 ward development committee members will be conducted in 22 polling stations.
BDO Wangoi will be the RO/ERO for the two ULBs.
Poll for 18 ward development committee members for nine wards each of Lilong (Imphal West) MC and Wangoi MC will be held in 18 polling stations each.
Poll for 22 ward development committee members for 11 wards will be conducted in 22 polling stations.
SDO Wangoi will be the RO/ERO for the three ULBs.
Poll for 18 ward develop ment committee members for nine wards each of Sekmai MC and Lamsang MC will be held in 18 polling stations each.
SDO Lamsang will be the RO/ERO for the two ULBs.
There will be a total of 91 wards and 182 ward development committee members for the seven ULBs of Imphal West district including IMC, the report submitted to the state election commission said.
