5th AMSSTA Day observed

The 5th Observation Day of All Manipur School Students' Transporters Association (AMSSTA) was held today at Wangkhei Community Hall, Puja Lampak in Imphal East district.
During the observation, floral tributes were paid to the departed members of AMSSTA and the attendees observed one minute silence as a mark of honour.
The Association also presented simple gifts to the family members of the departed members.
Delivering the keynote address, AMSSTA Treasurer, Maibam Prafulo stated that the Association which was founded in 2009 has been extending best possible help to its members and their family members in the form of monetary aid.
To encourage the meritorious children of the members, the Association has also been presenting prizes to such students.
Speaking as the chief guest, former Councillor of IMC Ward no19, Yumlembam Ratikanta commended the members of AMSSTA who have been playing a major role in transporting the school students safely.
While maintaining that the van drivers also contribute immensely in taking care of the students he appealed to the parents to participate in such observations considering the immense contributions of the school van drivers towards the safety of the school going children.
He also assured to extend best possible help from his end to the construction of AMSSTA office.
