DLOs discuss Orange Festival, Meeyamgi Numit

Tamenglong, October 14 2022:
A district level officers' meeting was held at Tamenglong old DC office conference Hall on Thursday with local MLA Janghemlung Panmei in the chair.
Briefing the meeting on the preparation for the upcoming 17th State level Orange Festival 2022, Tamenglong deputy commissioner informed that an estimated budget of Rs 1.2 crore has been made for the orange festival, which be held tentatively from December 13 to 15 .
MLA Janghemlung instructed the DLOs to set up a committee for the orange festival and chalk out activities for the festival.
He asked all the stakeholders to come up with innovative ideas for a grand celebration.
The DLOs' meeting set October 21 for conduct of Meeyamgi Numit and the MLA urged all the DLOs to take the programme (Meeyamgi Numit) seriously and be present on the day as it is an important event of the government to reach out to the public.
Janghemlung also urged the DLOs to take care of the government properties as land encroachment has created a lot of problems for the district administration.
