NWU condemns arson at Taphou Naga

Naga Women's Union (NWU) has strongly condemned the arson attack at the residence of K Tailu, chief of Taphou Naga village on October 7, 2022 at around 1.30 am .
In a release, NWU condemned the attack which was carried out with an ambiguous intention of murdering K Tailu or his whole family.
The Union also mentioned that such attacks will never bring solutions nor satisfy hatred and greed.
"Violence such as burning, firing, bombing and arson attack don't have a place in our tradition and our cultures strongly denied it", said NWU while urging all involved in the incident to claim responsibility.
NWU further appealed to the authorities concerned to book the culprits and restore peace in the area.
