Manipur runners-up at Junior National Judo Championships

Imphal, December 19 2022:
Manipur finished runners-up in the Junior National Judo Championships 2022 which wrapped on Monday at Sports Mega Complex, Khelgaon, Hotwar, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
The state judokas ended their campaign with nine medals as the boys' team clinched two gold, two silver and a bronze while the girls' team claimed two gold, one silver and one bronze medals.
K Bishal (66kg category) and N Sheetal (90kg) were the gold medallists in the boys' competition where L Max (73kg) and H Brikamal (100kg) settled for a silver medal each, with S Maimu (60kg) taking a bronze.
On the other hand, L Nungsithoi (52kg) and I Kalpana (63kg) earned top podium honours in the girls' section as L Roshni (78kg) claimed a silver and M Roshibani (44kg) got a bronze.
Delhi emerged as the overall team champions of the championship.
The state boys' and girls' teams were accompanied by men's coach Thangjam Sanatomba, women's coach L Binoi Singh and manager Kh Gojendro Singh.
