69 Bn CRPF celebrates AKAM with cleanliness drive

Celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav (AKAM), 69 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) observed 'Swachhata Pakhwada' and organised a series of events focused on promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness.
According to a CRPF release, the events from December 1 to 15 included a road march, seminars and a massive cleanliness drive under the leadership of 69 Bn commandant Bajrang Lal.
The personnel of the Battalion participated in a community cleanliness programme to make Mother India clean and hygienic.
They also worked to raise awareness about the need to reduce single-used plastic and reduce wastage of resources.
In addition to its efforts, the personnel participated in a plantation drive to help improve the environment, white-washed buildings and worked to maintain roads.
They also raised awareness for controlling/preventing water borne diseases like malaria, dengue, etc.
The tasks outlined in the fortnight of cleanliness were successfully completed to the fullest extent by the personnel of the Battalion and their dedication and hard work were instrumental in making the events a success.
The personnel demonstrated their commitment for protecting and preserving the environment and for making India a cleaner and more sustainable place to live, the release added.
